so ive been flying a self build 5inch for about two years now and finally caved and grabbed one of the iFlight prebuilts mostly because i just dont have the time to solder and tune from scratch anymore. went with the nazgul evoque f5 v2 HD with the vista unit. figured id share some impressions since i couldnt find a ton of recent real world feedback when i was researching.
out of the box the tune is honestly not bad. like its not going to win any freestyle comps but it tracks well, props out fine on fast rolls, and the motors arent screaming at hover which was my main concern with a prebuilt. the xing2 2306 motors feel solid, no complaints there. i did reflash betaflight immediately just because i always do and tweaked the filtering a bit ? stock filter settings felt a little heavy for my taste but nothing crazy.
the DJI vista integration is clean, no weird latency issues or anything like that. frame feels sturdy. i did have one arm screw that was basically finger tight from the factory which is a little annoying but whatever, checked all of them and torqued everything down properly.
main thing i want to know is if anyone else has messed with the rates on this thing because stock rates feel sluggish to me. i fly around 800 degrees/sec on my other quads and i just havent found the sweet spot yet on this one.
