thoughts on the new Autel Evo Lite 2 or whatever they're calling it - worth switching from DJI?

so Autel quietly dropped some info about their next gen Evo and i've been going back and forth on whether its finally worth making the switch from DJI. ive been a DJI person forever, got the Air 3 right now and genuinely love it, but the whole geofencing thing has been annoying me more and more especially since i do a lot of shooting in areas that are technically restricted but i have proper waivers for and DJI's unlocking process is just a nightmare sometimes.

Autel doesnt have the same geofencing headaches from what i understand and the new camera specs look pretty solid on paper. but i also feel like DJI's ecosystem is just so mature at this point, the go fly app, the accessories, everything. has anyone actually flown Autel recently and can speak to how the image quality compares in real world conditions not just spec sheet stuff

flew an Evo Lite Plus for about six months before going back to DJI and honestly the footage was fine, like really good actually in good light, but the app was kind of a mess at the time. laggy in some menus and tracking wasnt anywhere near as reliable as DJI's. might have improved since then thats been like a year and a half ago. the geofencing thing is real though, that alone is reason enough for some people to make the jump

i mean DJI just dominates for a reason right, the integration between the controller and app and drone is just so tight. i looked at Autel twice and both times ended up just buying the DJI option because the resale value alone makes more sense to me. not saying Autel is bad just that the ecosystem gap is still pretty wide imo. that said if the geofencing thing is actually causing you real workflow problems then maybe it makes sense for your situation specifically
