mini 3 pro keeps drifting even with gps locked??

  • Members

so i've had my mini 3 pro for about 3 months now and overall its been great but lately ive noticed it kind of drifts sideways when i let go of the sticks even when the gps says its got like 15+ satellites. its not a huge drift but enough that if im trying to hover close to something it slowly creeps. calibrated the compass twice already and it didnt really help. flying in normal mode not sport. wind was pretty calm when i noticed it too so i dont think thats it

anyone else had this or know what might be causing it? wondering if maybe its the gimbal or imu needs calibrating or something. not sure where to even start

imu calibration is probably your best bet, compass alone doesnt always fix it. go into the dji fly app, advanced settings, find the imu calibration and just follow the steps ? you have to put the drone flat on a table and then on its sides etc. takes like 5 mins. i had similar issue on mine after flying near a construction site and that sorted it out. also make sure you're not taking off near anything metal or on a car roof, that can mess with the compass even if it says calibrated

might be worth checking if there's a firmware update pending, i had weird behavior on my mini 3 that just kind of went away after an update and i never really figured out what it was. also have you tried flying in a completely different location? sometimes i swear certain spots just do weird things
