so this has been driving me crazy for like two weeks now. im flying my mavic 3 in a pretty open area, no tall buildings or anything, and i keep getting these random disconnects. not full signal loss, more like the video feed cuts for a second and then reconnects, but sometimes the rc just goes grey and i have to wait a few seconds for it to come back. never actually lost the aircraft but its making me nervous to fly anywhere near obstacles.

ive tried switching from 5.8 to 2.4ghz manually and it doesnt really seem to make a difference. the disconnects seem more frequent in the afternoon than in the morning which is weird. i live near a fairly busy area but nothing industrial or anything obviously transmitting. firmware is up to date, checked that already. anyone had something similar?

afternoon thing is interesting ? could be related to thermal activity messing with the signal path, but honestly the more likely culprit is just RF congestion. afternoons in residential areas tend to have way more wifi traffic, neighbors are home, more devices active, especially on 2.4. even on 5.8 you can get bleed from wifi 6 routers at certain channels. have you tried running a spectrum analyzer app on your phone before a flight to see whats actually going on in that area? its not a perfect fix but it at least tells you what youre competing with. also check if ocusync is set to auto channel selection, sometimes it latches onto something garbage and just stays there.

had almost exact same thing happen to me last summer, turned out my rc controller had a slightly loose antenna connection internally. like physically inside the controller. wouldnt have guessed it because externally everything looked fine. i only found it because i sent it in for something else and the tech mentioned it. might be worth ruling out hardware if the software side isnt turning up anything
