weird jello effect showing up in my Air 2S footage ? only sometimes??

so this has been bugging me for a while and i cant figure out if its a settings thing or a hardware issue. my Air 2S has been solid for like two years but lately ive been getting this weird jello wobble in some clips and not others. doesnt seem to be tied to wind conditions specifically because ive had perfectly smooth footage on breezy days and then got the jello on a calm day just flying around a field

im shooting 4k 60 most of the time with the ND filters on, using the 1/120 shutter rule more or less. checked the gimbal and it looks fine visually, nothing loose that i can see. the effect is subtle but once you see it on playback its really distracting especially in slower cinematic moves

has anyone dealt with this? wondering if i should send it in or if theres something dumb im overlooking

check which ND filters you're using and whether they're balanced for that framerate. i had something similar and it turned out one of my aftermarket NDs had a tiny bit of wobble in the mount, like it wasnt seated perfectly flat. the gimbal would pick up the micro vibration. swapped to a different filter and it went away. also try flying without any filter at all for a test run just to rule that out

if its not the filters then it might be worth recalibrating the gimbal through the app, theres an option in the safety settings i think. had to do that once after a slightly rough landing and it sorted out some weirdness i was seeing

propellers. check your propellers. even a tiny nick or if ones slightly out of balance it can cause exactly what your describing and its so intermittent because it depends on your exact speed and the harmonics or whatever. i lost like a month thinking my gimbal was going bad and it was just a dinged prop the whole time. super dumb in hindsight but easy to miss visually
