Switch to Cine Mode (also called Tripod Mode) - it reduces stick sensitivity and makes movements much slower and smoother, preventing those sudden jolts that ruin footage. This was a game changer for me when I started out.

Follow the 180-degree rule for shutter speed (double your frame rate) and use ND filters to maintain proper exposure - try ND16 for sunny days, ND8 for cloudy conditions. Also practice basic moves like pans and reveals in open areas first!

Same boat here! I've been practicing basic shots like the pan (slow left to right), forward reveal (fly forward while tilting camera), and the dronie (start at eye level, fly backward and up). The dronie is harder than it looks but so rewarding when you nail it.
