ok so my situation is i mostly shoot landscape stuff on weekend hikes and occasional family vacation type videos, nothing professional. i keep going back and forth between the Nano+ and the DJI Mini 3 and i cant make up my mind. price is roughly similar where i am so thats not really the deciding factor.

the Nano+ sensor honestly looks competitive to me from the sample footage ive seen on youtube but i feel like there's way more community support and tutorials and stuff around DJI products which makes me nervous about going Autel. on the other hand i kinda like the idea of supporting something thats not DJI since they basically own the whole market. does anyone here actually use the Nano for that kind of flying and how do you find it day to day?

ive had the Nano+ since it came out and honestly for landscape work its been really solid. the RYYB sensor does some genuinely impressive stuff in low light situations which is where i noticed the biggest difference vs what i was shooting before. the app has improved a lot too, early on it was rough but its in a much better place now.

that said youre not wrong about the ecosystem thing. if you run into a weird issue or want to find a quick tutorial there's just more out there for DJI, thats the reality. but the Nano community is active here and on reddit and i havent had a problem i couldnt find an answer to. for casual landscape and vacation footage i think either would honestly serve you well, so if supporting a smaller player matters to you thats a totally valid reason to go Autel.

the mini 3 has the vertical shooting mode which is kind of a big deal if you ever post to instagram reels or tiktok stuff. just throwing that out there because i overlooked it when i was making the same decision and kind of wish i hadn't. not saying thats a dealbreaker just something worth factoring in depending on where you share your footage
