so ive been flying my mini 3 pro for about 6 months now and honestly most of my footage has been pretty mid but last weekend i caught the most insane golden hour over the reservoir near my house. the colors were just doing something crazy and i managed to get a couple slow orbits around this old dock that turned out way better than anything ive shot before

ill drop the link in the comments but basically wanted to ask if anyone has tips on the color grading side of things because i shot in d-log and im still kind of fumbling around in premiere trying to make it not look washed out. the raw footage looks almost gray lol

d-log is brutal when you first start out, dont feel bad. what helped me was downloading a free lut pack specifically for the mini 3 sensor, theres a few good ones floating around on youtube channels. just slap one on as a base and then adjust from there rather than trying to build from scratch every time. also make sure your exposure is slightly underexposed when shooting log or the highlights are gonna be cooked before you even touch it in post

would love to see the footage, sunsets over water are so hard to nail because the reflections blow out super easy. whats your ND filter situation? i had the same washed out problem for ages and it turned out i wasnt using anything on my lens which made the whole thing kind of a mess in post anyway
