so ive been flying my 5inch for a few months now and i can do basic stuff, split s, roll, some dive pulls but everything just feels sluggish and kind of mushy? like the quad doesnt snap back the way i see in videos. i dont think its my rates because ive messed with those a bunch already. running betaflight 4.4 and honestly the filtering might be too heavy but im scared to touch it. anyone had this and figured out what was actually causing it

yeah filtering will absolutely kill your freestyle feel, thats probably it. when i first built my hyperlite i had the same thing, looked like i was flying through mud. dropped the dterm lowpass a bit and loosened up the gyro filtering and it came alive. just do it in small steps or youll get motor heat real fast and that becomes a whole other problem

honestly might just be rates still? i thought mine were fine forever and then someone sent me their rates file and it was like a different quad. what are your pitch and roll rates set to rn
