litchi vs dronelink for waypoint missions ? anyone switched recently?

  • Members

so ive been using litchi for probably 3 years now and honestly its been fine but i keep hearing people talk about dronelink and i cant figure out if its actually better or if its just the new shiny thing people are hyping up

my main use case is mostly automated survey passes over farmland, nothing crazy, just need reliable waypoints and maybe some basic terrain following. litchi does the job but the interface feels like it hasnt been touched in forever and sometimes syncing missions from the hub to the app is just... annoying. like it works but its flaky sometimes

has anyone actually switched from litchi to dronelink and stuck with it? or did you go back? im running a mini 3 pro btw if that matters for compatibility stuff

switched about 8 months ago and havent looked back honestly. dronelink's mission planning on desktop is just way more capable once you get past the learning curve, the conditional actions stuff alone is worth it if you're doing any kind of repeatable survey work. terrain following on dronelink is also more configurable in my experience.

that said the mini 3 pro support was a bit rough when i last checked ? worth verifying in their compatibility docs before you commit. litchi still works fine for simpler stuff and if your workflow is already dialed in theres no huge reason to blow it up just because

i tried dronelink for like two weeks and went back to litchi lol. not saying its worse just that i couldnt justify relearning everything for missions i already had set up. the pricing model for dronelink also felt weird to me, like i dont remember exactly but there were tiers that confused me
