EVO Nano+ vs Mini 3 Pro ? am i missing something or is the Nano+ actually pretty solid

ok so ive been going back and forth on this for like three weeks now and i keep seeing people just default to the DJI option without really explaining why. i picked up an EVO Nano+ a few months ago because the price was right and honestly i wanted to try something different than the usual DJI crowd. and so far... its been fine? like genuinely good actually.

image quality in decent light is really nice, the obstacle avoidance works better than i expected for something in this size class, and Autel's whole no geo-fencing thing is honestly a bigger deal than i thought it would be. i fly near some areas that would be a pain with DJI's restrictions and just not having to deal with that is kind of freeing.

but i keep second-guessing myself because everyone online acts like if you dont have a DJI you made a mistake. has anyone here actually flown both and can give me a real comparison? not looking for a spec sheet comparison i can do that myself, more like day to day flying experience stuff.

flown both pretty extensively and honestly the Nano+ gets way less credit than it deserves. the dynamic range is genuinely competitive and for the price difference you could buy a couple extra batteries and still come out ahead. the app is a bit clunkier than DJI Fly i wont lie, and sometimes it takes a sec longer to connect but nothing that ruins a flight. the no geo-fence thing alone made it worth it for me, i do a lot of work around infrastructure and constantly unlocking zones in DJI was eating my time. if youre happy with it just fly the thing and stop reading reddit lol

i have the Mini 3 Pro and my friend has the Nano+ and we've done a few side by side comparison flights. honestly in good light they're closer than id have guessed. the Mini 3 Pro pulls ahead a bit in low light and the vertical shooting mode is something i use more than i thought i would. but your point about geo-fencing is real ? he's taken his places i'd have had to jump through hoops to get to. i dont think you made a bad choice at all, different tools for different people kinda thing
