so ive been going back and forth on this for like two weeks now and i cant make up my mind. i want something small enough to throw in a backpack when im hiking but i also do some casual real estate stuff on the side so image quality actually matters to me. the Nano+ keeps coming up in my research and the price is kinda in my range but im seeing mixed things about the app and connectivity issues and it's making me nervous.

currently i have a pretty old phantom 3 that a friend gave me so basically anything would be an upgrade lol. is the Nano+ actually solid in the real world or is it one of those things that looks great on paper and then drives you crazy once you actually fly it. any autel owners here that can give me a real honest take

honestly the Nano+ is a solid little drone and i think it gets more hate than it deserves mostly because people compare it directly to the Mini 3 Pro which isnt really fair given the price difference at launch. image quality on it is genuinely good especially in decent light, the moonlight algorithm thing they added actually helped low light shots more than i expected. the app has been iffy for me a few times but nothing that grounded me, just some reconnect annoyances. if real estate is your thing though id say the 1/1.28 sensor does the job for interior and exterior shots as long as conditions are reasonable. coming from a Phantom 3 you are going to feel like you jumped ten years forward which, you kind of did.

i got one last spring and tbh the only thing that bugged me early on was pairing it the first time took way longer than it should have. once thats sorted it flies great. battery life is what it is, dont expect miracles, bring two at minimum if youre doing any kind of job. for hiking and casual use though i genuinely love it, its tiny and the footage holds up when i color grade it a bit.
