so this has been driving me nuts for like two weeks now. running a zenmuse x7 on my inspire 2 and ever since i updated the firmware (the one that dropped in march i think?) the gimbal keeps doing this slow drift to the left during longer shots. its not a huge amount but when youre doing a slow push in on something and the horizon slowly tilts its just... unusable footage.

ive already done the gimbal calibration like three times, tried it with different lenses, even swapped the ribbon cable thinking maybe it got damaged but nothing fixed it. motors seem fine, no obvious physical damage. the weird part is it only seems to happen when im flying forward, hovering is mostly fine. has anyone run into this or have any idea where to even start with this

had something similar on my x5s a while back and it turned out to be an imu calibration issue more than the gimbal itself ? the fc was feeding slightly bad attitude data and the gimbal was trying to compensate and overcorrecting in one axis. worth doing a full imu recal on flat ground, like not just the quick one, the full sequence. also make sure youre doing it somewhere without any magnetic interference because i did mine in my garage near a bunch of metal shelving and it made things worse lol.

also check if djis assistant software is showing any gimbal motor load values that look off, sometimes you can catch a mechanical binding issue that way before it becomes obvious just from looking at the footage.

not the same setup but i noticed on my mini 3 after an update the gimbal roll was consistently like 0.4 degrees off and it was that specific firmware, they pushed a fix a few weeks later. might just be worth checking if theres a newer version or rolling back if you saved the previous one. dji forums had a thread about it.
