so ive had my mini 3 pro for about 3 months now and ive noticed that when i hover it in place it slowly drifts, like maybe a foot or two over maybe 30 seconds. doesnt sound like a lot but when im trying to get a specific shot it gets pretty annoying. i always wait for the gps to fully lock before taking off, usually 10-12 satellites showing in the app. wind is usually pretty calm when i fly, maybe 5mph or less. its not like it just got knocked around, it just slowly creeps. wondering if this is a calibration thing or if something is actually wrong with it. ive done the imu calibration once when i first got it but never the compass. maybe thats it? or maybe im just expecting too much from something this small

compass calibration is probably the move here, especially if you havent done it since you got it. i do mine every time i go to a new flying location honestly, probably overkill but whatever. also check if youre flying near anything with a lot of metal or like near buildings, that can mess with the compass reading even if gps looks fine. the mini 3 in my experience holds position really well in calm conditions so a foot or two of drift does seem like more than usual.

I had something similar happen and it turned out I had a slightly bent prop, like barely noticeable but enough to cause issues. Swapped the props out and the hover got noticeably more stable. Might be worth checking all four props for any warping, DJI's replacement props are cheap enough that its not a big deal to just replace them if you're not sure.
