so ive been dealing with this for like 3 weeks now and i cant figure it out. im flying my mavic 3 and somewhere between 400-600 meters out it just drops. doesnt crash or anything, it RTHs fine, but the video feed goes out and the controller shows disconnected for like 5-10 seconds before it reconnects. sometimes it reconnects on its own, sometimes i have to wait until it comes back closer.

the weird part is it doesnt happen every flight. went out saturday morning around 7am and flew to 800m no problem, then sunday afternoon same spot and it started cutting at 450m. only real difference was more people around on sunday, maybe some wifi or something in the area? i live near a suburban neighborhood so theres definitely a lot of 2.4ghz noise around.

ive already tried switching the controller from auto to manual frequency selection, set it to 5.8ghz and it seemed slightly better but still happened once. updated firmware last week too. dont really know what else to check at this point. anybody dealt with something similar?

yeah the sunday vs saturday thing is almost certainly interference from neighbors, more people home on weekends means more routers, baby monitors, microwaves, all that garbage competing on 2.4ghz. the 5.8 switch was the right move but depending on where you are theres still plenty of congestion there too especially if theres any 5ghz wifi networks nearby.

one thing worth trying is the DJI fly app has a channel analysis tool somewhere in the signal settings, it'll show you which channels are most congested in real time. also check if theres any big metal structures between you and the AC when it drops, even a chain link fence at the right angle can mess things up more than you'd think. could also be worth trying a different frequency band entirely and seeing if the pattern changes, sometimes just eliminating variables helps narrow it down.

had almost the exact same issue with mine last summer, turned out my controller antenna was slightly loose on the inside, like the connector wasnt fully seated. no visible damage or anything, just a marginal connection that got worse at range. wouldnt have found it if i hadnt opened it up to check after nothing else worked. probably not your issue but worth at least making sure the antennas are positioned correctly when you fly, horizontal AC needs horizontal controller antennas etc.
