Running into some head-scratching thermal readings on commercial roof inspections with the M30T. Same building, same environmental conditions, but getting wildly different temperature readings between flights separated by just 30 minutes.

Setup: M30T with latest firmware, 640?512 thermal sensor, clear sunny conditions around 75?F ambient. First flight shows membrane temps around 95-105?F (expected for black EPDM). Second flight on identical flight path shows temps spiking to 130-140?F in same areas.

Anyone else seeing thermal drift issues with the M30T? Wondering if this is a calibration problem or if I'm missing something in my workflow. DJI Thermal Analysis Tool shows identical settings between flights.

Had similar issues until I started doing manual NUC (non-uniformity correction) calibrations between flights. The M30T's auto-calibration sometimes gets confused by rapid temperature changes. Try triggering manual calibration in DJI Pilot 2 settings before each mission.

Check your emissivity settings - EPDM should be around 0.87-0.92 but if it's weathered or has coatings the value can shift significantly. Also make sure you're accounting for reflected temperature from surrounding structures.

This is exactly why I still prefer dedicated thermal cameras over these integrated solutions. The M30T's thermal module just isn't as stable as a standalone FLIR. For critical roof moisture detection, I'd recommend cross-checking with a handheld thermal gun on a few sample points.
