so anyway i finally decided im going to buy my first drone but now im second guessing myself again. was pretty set on the DJI Mini 3 but my buddy keeps telling me to wait because something new is always coming out. hes the same guy who hasnt bought a new laptop in 6 years because something better is always around the corner so take that for what its worth

main thing i want is good video quality and i want it to be forgiving since im going to crash it probably. is the mini 3 actually good for beginners or is it more of a intermediate thing. also live in a fairly windy area near the coast if that changes anything

your buddy is wrong lol, theres always going to be something new. the Mini 3 is genuinely excellent for a first drone and the wind resistance on it is better than most in its class, being near the coast is actually a pretty good use case for it vs something cheaper that gets pushed around by a light breeze. the RC-N1 controller that comes in the base bundle is fine but if you can swing it the RC controller with the built in screen is way nicer in sunlight outdoors.

i mean i started on a Mini 3 like 8 months ago and i wouldnt call it intermediate at all, the automated flight modes and the way it just hovers so stable made it really approachable. i was honestly suprised how easy the first few flights were. only thing i'd say is get a couple extra batteries right away because 30ish minutes sounds like a lot until its not
