what ND filters should i even get for the mini 2 SE, so confused by all the options

okay so i got my mini 2 se about a month ago and the footage looks decent but ive been watching youtube videos and everyone keeps talking about nd filters and the 180 degree shutter rule and now i feel like im doing everything wrong. i went to look at filters and theres like a million different sets from brands ive never heard of and some from polaroid and then theres the dji ones which are way more expensive. i mostly fly during the day in fairly sunny conditions, sometimes late afternoon. i dont really know what im doing in terms of video settings yet, im still mostly on auto. do i even need filters right now or should i learn the manual settings first? also does the 2 se use the same size as the regular mini 2

honestly learn the manual settings first before spending money on filters. filters are only useful once you understand what shutter speed youre trying to hit and why, otherwise youre just guessing. the 180 rule basically means your shutter speed should be double your frame rate so if youre shooting 30fps you want 1/60 shutter, and in bright sun thats where the ND comes in to darken things down so you can actually hit that without overexposing. but if youre still on auto none of that matters yet. get comfortable with manual exposure first then grab a cheap starter set, something like an ND4/8/16/32 pack. freewell or kase are both solid without being the dji tax price. and yes i believe the 2 SE uses the same mount as the mini 2 but double check that before ordering, i wouldnt swear to it

the dji branded ones arent really worth it imo, i got a freewell set for my mini 3 and theyre great. the cheap amazon ones can sometimes have a slight color cast which is annoying to correct in post. but like the other person said, dont even bother until you get off auto mode or the filters wont make any difference anyway
