mini 4 pro firmware update bricked my OA or something, anyone else

updated to the latest firmware last night through the DJI fly app and now my obstacle avoidance is just... acting weird. like it triggers way earlier than it used to and on one of my test flights in the backyard it stopped like 4 meters from a fence that i fly past all the time with no issues. sensitivity settings are the same as far as i can tell, i didnt touch anything.

rolled back once before on a different drone and it was a pain but doable, trying to figure out if this is a known thing with this update or if somethings actually wrong with my unit. the release notes said something about vision system improvements which maybe explains it but it didnt mention changing the actual stop distances

yeah the.0700 update (or whatever the last one was) definitely changed something with the APAS behavior, theres a thread on the DJI forum about it. from what i read they adjusted the braking distance

yeah the.0700 update (or whatever the last one was) definitely changed something with the APAS behavior, theres a thread on the DJI forum about it. from what i read they adjusted the braking distance calculations as part of the vision system overhaul. its not bricked, its just more conservative now. some people like it, i personally find it annoying for close quarters flying.

you can try switching OA to just warning mode instead of bypass and see if that behaves differently. not a fix exactly but at least it lets you fly manually through tighter spots without it fighting you. proper rollback on mini 4 is kind of a hassle, you need the DJI assistant 2 on desktop and sometimes it gets fussy about which version it'll let you go back to.
