went up to the mountains this past weekend, first time flying anywhere with actual altitude and wind. honestly was kind of a mess at first, the drone was drifting way more than im used to and i panicked a couple times and just brought it back down. but i got a few clips that i think came out ok and i edited together a short 2 minute thing. color grade is rough, im still figuring out davinci resolve so dont judge that too hard lol

more than anything i want to know if the compositions are any good. i feel like i dont really know what im doing when it comes to framing, i just fly around and hope something looks interesting

honestly the drifting at altitude is just something you get used to. wind up high is completely different animal than flying at sea level or wherever you normally go. your footage is probably more watchable than you think, people are always hardest on their own stuff

for compositions, one thing that helped me was just watching a lot of other peoples footage and kinda reverse engineering what they did. like where did they start, where did they end, what was the subject. you start to see patterns after a while

davinci resolve has a brutal learning curve ngl. i spent like two months on it before anything looked halfway decent. what camera profile were you shooting in, log or standard? makes a big difference for how forgiving the grade is gonna be
