Both of these DJI camera drones pack impressive features, but they cater to different audiences. The Air 3 has dual cameras and better wind resistance, but the Mini 4 Pro is so much more portable and I travel a lot. You'll save more than 30% (that's $340) by opting for the Mini 4 Pro over the Air 3. Anyone regret their choice or wish they'd gone with the other?

I have both and honestly love each for different situations. It basically does everything the Air 3 does, with all the same obstacle avoidance protections, flight modes, cruise control, etc. The Air 3's only major advantages are the second lens (which I do love) and better wind performance (which can also be important). For travel, the Mini 4 Pro wins hands down.

I went with the Mini 4 Pro because of regulations - It weighs less than 250 grams, meaning recreational pilots in the U.S. don't need to register it with the Federal Aviation Administration. Super convenient when traveling internationally too since most countries have similar sub-250g exemptions.

If you're mainly doing photography and want the best image quality, go Air 3. On top is a 70mm medium telephoto camera (giving you the equivalent of 3X optical zoom from the main camera) with a fixed F2.8 aperture with a 35? FOV. Both cameras use Type 1/1.3 CMOS sensors that support 12MP pixel-binned and 48MP full-resolution photos. That dual camera system is amazing for versatility.
