anyone else struggle with getting good photos vs video on the same flight

this might be a dumb question but i always go out wanting to do both and end up with neither being that great. like i stop to take a photo and by the time im done messing with the settings the light has changed or ive drifted or whatever. then i try to switch back to video mode and i forgot to change the shutter speed back and the first 30 seconds are totally blown out.

i feel like people who post really clean photo sets AND video from the same session must have some kind of workflow im missing. or maybe they just fly twice. genuinely not sure

they fly twice. or at least i do. trying to do both in one battery is a recipe for mediocre everything in my experience. i just dedicate flights now, one for video one for stills, makes a huge difference mentally too because youre not constantly switching gears

i had this exact problem for ages. what helped me was saving custom quick settings profiles on my controller so i can snap between photo and video modes without digging through menus. not perfect but at least i dont lose 2 minutes fumbling around anymore. still sometimes mess up the ND filter situation tho lol thats a whole other thing
