so ive had the EVO II Pro 6k for about three weeks now and figured id share some stuff since i spent forever reading forums before buying it and couldnt find a lot of recent real-world takes on it.

coming from a Mavic 2 Pro so that's kind of my baseline. the image quality is honestly really good, that 1 inch sensor does what you'd expect and the colors out of camera are nicer than i expected, less processing weirdness than the DJI stuff IMO. the manual aperture is great for situations where you actually need it and not just a gimmick like on some other drones.

the smart controller that comes with the bundle is fine but the software feels a little clunky compared to what im used to. had to update firmware twice in the first week which was a little annoying but nothing bricked or anything. battery life is roughly what they advertise which was a pleasant surprise.

one thing nobody warned me about ? the case it comes in is massive. like way bigger than i expected. not a dealbreaker just funny.

anyone else running one of these? curious if anyone's found any good ND filter sets that actually fit well, the ones i ordered from amazon were slightly loose on one side which is driving me nuts.

the Freewell set for the EVO II is what most people around here seem to go with and ive had zero issues with fit on mine. just make sure you're getting the ones specifically listed for the 6k version not the generic EVO II ones, theres a difference and i made that mistake the first time.

also yeah the case is hilariously oversized, my girlfriend thought i was packing a small appliance when i brought it to the car lol. you kind of get used to it but i ended up swapping to a Pelican 1510 with foam cut to fit which is way more practical for travel.

how does the wind handling compare to the Mavic 2? that's actually one of the things im most curious about if im ever gonna make the switch. i fly in some pretty gusty spots on the coast and my current setup struggles past like 20mph sustained.
