Air 3 vs Air 3S ? is the upgrade actually worth it for casual weekend flying

  • Members

so ive been flying my Air 3 for about 8 months now and honestly love it, no real complaints. but lately ive been seeing more people talk about the Air 3S and im starting to get that itch to upgrade which is probably stupid because the Air 3 is still a great drone.

my main use is just weekend trips, some hiking stuff, occasional family videos. nothing professional. i dont sell footage or anything. the low light stuff on the 3S does look noticeably better from what ive seen on youtube but im not sure if thats enough to justify the price difference. anyone actually made this jump? was it like a wow moment or more of a "okay thats slightly better" kind of thing

I went from Air 2S to Air 3 and the upgrade felt massive. But when I tried my buddy's Air 3S back to back with my Air 3 the difference was way more subtle than I expected? Like I had to really look for it in good lighting conditions. The main thing I noticed was the autofocus tracking felt snappier on the 3S but that might have just been my imagination. Probably hold off unless you find a good deal on a used one.
