ok so i picked up a mini 2 se last week and ive been just kind of hovering it around my backyard but i feel like im not actually learning anything useful. like i can take off and land and move it around but it feels really twitchy and i keep overcorrecting. is this normal or am i doing something wrong? also should i be in sport mode or normal mode to practice, i honestly cant tell which is better for a beginner. i watched a few youtube videos but they all seem to assume you already know stuff

totally normal, the overcorrecting thing is just muscle memory you havent built yet. stick with normal mode for now, sport mode removes a lot of the stabilization and you will definitely crash more. just do slow figure eights in your backyard, sounds boring but it actually builds real stick control. also turn off the obstacle avoidance beeping if it's driving you crazy, some people leave it on but when you're learning it can actually make you panic and overcorrect more

yeah the mini 2 se is pretty forgiving in normal mode so you're fine there. i'd honestly just focus on not crashing for the first few weeks, like that's the whole goal. dont worry about cinematic shots or anything yet. also make sure you have return to home set up properly before you go anywhere that isnt your backyard, learned that one the hard way lol
