so ive been dealing with this for about two weeks now and its driving me nuts. im running a mavic 3 on the RC-N1 controller and randomly, like completely at random, ill get a signal lost warning and the drone goes into RTH. sometimes it happens at 200 meters, sometimes at 800. no pattern i can figure out.

my area isnt super crowded with wifi or anything, im flying over a field mostly. checked the antennas on the controller, they look fine, tried different channels in the app. someone mentioned it could be a 2.4 vs 5.8 band thing but i honestly dont fully understand how to tell which one its using at any given moment. the RC-N1 is supposed to auto switch right? so why would it keep dropping

i did notice it happens more when i have my phone plugged in and charging while using it as the display, not sure if thats related or just coincidence. anybody run into this before

the charging thing is almost definitely related. a lot of people dont realize that certain USB cables and chargers pump out a ton of electrical noise and it can absolutely mess with the OcuSync signal path. try flying without the phone plugged in and see if it changes anything. if that fixes it you just need a better shielded cable, ferrite bead on the cable sometimes helps too.

also worth checking if youre near any power lines even in the background, like if theres a substation a half mile away it can still cause weird intermittent stuff. the auto band switching on those controllers does work but it doesnt always pick the cleanest option immediately, theres a lag.

had almost the exact same thing happen on mine last summer. turned out one of the antenna connectors inside the controller had a micro fracture, looked totally fine from outside. ended up sending it in. probably not your issue but worth mentioning that "looks fine" doesnt always mean it is fine with those internal u.fl connectors
