been flying maybe 4 months, mostly just cruising around and doing wide turns but i want to actually start learning freestyle properly. watched a ton of youtube and everyone does diffrent things in diffrent orders. some people say master rolls first then flips, some say just throw yourself at everything and figure it out. my simulator time is decent but real quad feels completely different. is there like a logical progression people actually use or is it just chaos and eventually things click

chaos mostly tbh, but if i had to say something i'd say get your rolls and flips dialed individually before you try combining them into anything. a lot of people rush into trying split s or matty flips before they can even do a clean roll without the nose dipping and then they dont understand why the combo feels wrong. boring advice but rolls and flips until theyre automatic, then worry about the rest

dont overthink it just go fly and do stuff that looks cool to you. i learned powerloops before i even had clean rolls because i thought they looked sick and honestly figuring out why it was going wrong taught me more about the quad than any structured approach would have. you'll crash a lot either way so might as well crash doing something fun
