this has been bugging me for a while and im not sure if its a settings thing or something wrong with my unit. im flying the Nano+ and i keep losing the video feed around 400-500 meters out, sometimes even closer. i know its not a flagship drone but the specs say way more than that and i feel like i should be getting at least a kilometer without issues

im in a pretty suburban area but not like a crazy RF environment or anything, theres houses and stuff but ive flown DJI minis in the same spots with no problem. tried different times of day, same result basically

the controller itself seems fine and i havent dropped it or anything. just wondering if anyone else had this and figured it out or if i should be looking at sending it back

check your controller antenna orientation ? sounds basic but a lot of people dont think about it. the signal radiates out from the flat face of the antennas not the tips, so if you have them pointed straight up and the drone is in front of you thats actually not ideal. angle them so the flat sides are facing toward the aircraft

also worth checking if theres a firmware update you might have missed, Autel pushed a couple updates for the Nano series that addressed some connectivity stuff. the Sky app should tell you but sometimes it doesnt nag you about it the way it should

had something similar with mine for a while and it turned out i had wifi calling enabled on my phone and it was basically fighting with the controller for the 2.4ghz band. putting my phone in airplane mode and then turning bluetooth back on manually fixed it almost entirely. might not be your issue but worth trying before you go through an RMA
