Help! My drone photos keep coming out flat and lifeless - what am I missing?

I've been flying my Mini 3 Pro for about 6 months now, and while I'm getting better at controlling it, my photos just look really bland and washed out compared to the amazing shots I see online. I'm shooting in auto mode mostly - should I be using manual settings instead? The colors seem so muted and there's no real pop to them.

I know the camera is capable of much better because I've seen other people's work with the same drone. What basic settings should I focus on first to get more vibrant, professional-looking results?

Shoot in RAW for better editing flexibility and adjust white balance manually for consistent, accurate colors! Auto mode is holding you back - try f/8.0, ISO 100, and then adjust shutter speed accordingly as a starting point. The difference will be night and day.

I had this exact same problem! Always shoot in manual, and always shoot raw - shooting in RAW gives us much more information about each photo, allowing for much more detailed editing. Also make sure you're using grids for better composition (Rule of Thirds) - it makes a huge difference in how dynamic your shots look.

The Mini 3 Pro is actually a fantastic drone for the price range. If shot in raw, bracketed and processed delicately, these files are really nice. Don't underestimate the power of post-processing either - where the real magic happens is in post, as images from these little cameras rely heavily on good post production to bring out the very best.
