mini 3 pro keeps losing signal way closer than it should??

so ive had my mini 3 pro for about 4 months now and lately it keeps giving me the signal warning way sooner than it used to. like im talking maybe 800 meters out in a pretty open area, no buildings or anything really just a big field near my house. used to fly it way further than that no problem and now its like the controller is losing its mind. nothing changed on my end as far as i can tell, same RC-N1 controller, same phone (pixel 6), same everything basically.

tried recalibrating the compass last week and that didnt do much. someone at my club said it might be interference but i dont know what would cause that all of a sudden. anyone dealt with this before or know what im missing here

had almost the exact same issue a while back and it turned out to be my phone case of all things. had a new wallet case with some magnetic clip thing in it and it was messing with the signal more than i expected. also worth checking if there's been any new cell towers or wifi infrastructure put up near your flying spot ? sometimes thats all it takes to change the interference environment.

also the RC-N1 is kind of notorious for being a bit underwhelming range wise compared to the RC controller. if you're on the N1 and using a pixel 6 the USB connection can sometimes be flaky too, worth trying a different cable before assuming its something bigger.
