ok so Autel quietly dropped some info about the EVO Lite 2 a few weeks back and ive been going back and forth on whether to grab one. im currently on a pretty banged up EVO Lite+ that i've had for about two years, its still flying fine but the gimbal has been making a weird noise on cold mornings and i feel like its on borrowed time honestly.

the specs on the new one look decent, they bumped the sensor size a bit and supposedly improved the low light performance which was honestly my main complaint with the Lite+. but i cant find many real world reviews yet, mostly just the press release stuff which tells you nothing useful. anyone actually have hands on time with it or seen any comparison footage? also curious if Autel's support situation has gotten any better because that was a whole thing when i bought my first one

havent touched the Lite 2 specifically but ive been on Autel stuff for a while and their support honestly got noticeably better sometime last year. i had a gimbal issue on my Evo Max and they actually responded within a couple days and sent a replacement part without much hassle. way different from the nightmare i had in like 2021 so theres that at least

on the drone itself i'd wait another month or two just to let some proper user reviews come out. launch specs always sound better than real world results and you already have a flying camera so no reason to rush. the cold morning gimbal noise on your Lite+ might just be the ribbon cable getting stiff, worth looking into before you write it off

i saw a short clip someone posted on reddit from the Lite 2 and the footage looked pretty good but it was a sunny day so not really a fair test for the low light thing you mentioned. i think the bigger deal for me would be whether the range actually holds up to what they claim because Autel's range numbers have been a little optimistic in my experience lol
