4 months and you're already past the "cant maintain altitude" stage so youre actually doing fine, that hump takes some people way longer. banking turns being inconsistent is super normal at your point

im probably not that far ahead of you tbh but one thing that clicked for me was slowing wayyy down and doing the same gate or gap at like 30% throttle until i could do it perfect every time, then grad
okay so background: ive been flying freestyle fpv for about 4 months, started on a simulator (velocidrone) for like 6 weeks before i ever touched real hardware, built a 5inch, the whole thing. and i am still binning it constantly. not like catastrophic crashes but clipping gates, misjudging gaps, that kind of stuff.
i feel like im improving but its slow and i dont really have anyone local to fly with so its mostly just me going out to a field and flailing around. the throttle management thing is starting to click but banking turns still feel really inconsistent ? sometimes i nail the exit angle and sometimes i just have no idea why it went wrong.
is there a specific way people actually drill maneuvers or is it just reps reps reps until your hands figure it out. i tried doing figure 8s for a whole session and it helped a bit but im not sure if thats the best use of time. also should i be going back to sim more or just take the crashes and keep flying real.
