so i got my mini 4 pro about 3 weeks ago and i keep noticing that when i let go of both sticks it doesnt just hover in place, it kind of slowly drifts in whatever direction the wind is going which i guess makes sense but like... i thought these things were supposed to just stop and stay put. my friend has an older mini 2 and he says his does the same thing so maybe its normal? but it feels like its worse than it should be. im flying in normal mode not sport mode btw. also i calibrated the IMU once already and it didnt seem to change anything. is there a setting im missing or is this just how it works

yeah thats pretty much just how it works outdoors, especially if theres any wind at all. the GPS hold is good but its not magic, a gust hits it and itll drift a bit before the system corrects. if youre indoors and it drifts thats more of a calibration thing but outside with any kind of breeze that behavior is totally normal. the mini 4 pro is pretty light so it catches wind more than something heavier would. just keep a finger near the sticks and give it tiny corrections, you get used to it pretty fast honestly

i had the same question when i first got mine lol. one thing that actually helped me was making sure i was in a spot with a solid GPS lock before i took off, like waiting for it to show more satellites in the app. when i rush the takeoff and it only has like 8 or 9 satellites the drift is way more noticeable. also wind speeds that feel calm at ground level can be totally different up at like 30 or 40 meters, ive learned that the hard way a few times
