quad feels mushy after reflash, not sure what i changed

so anyway i finally got betaflight 4.5 on this thing and something is off. its like the quad is just slow to respond, not in a latency way exactly more like... soft? inputs feel like theyre going through a sponge. been flying it for months and i know what it felt like before so its definitely different not just me being weird about it.

i did a full config wipe before flashing because i read somewhere thats the right way to do it, then i re-entered all my rates and PID values manually from a screenshot i took. filters are on default i think. motors are Emax Eco2s on a 45A 4in1, 4S. the only thing i cant remember is whether i had RPM filter enabled before ? is that something that would cause this if its on and wasnt before or vice versa

yeah RPM filter being on without proper motor pole configuration can do weird things, but more likely if it suddenly feels mushy after a wipe the issue is your master multiplier or your TPA settings g

Eco2s probably need RPM filter tbh those motors are a bit noisy. but i'd just paste your old diff into the new firmware and see what happens rather than guessing ? betaflight configurator lets you do

yeah RPM filter being on without proper motor pole configuration can do weird things, but more likely if it suddenly feels mushy after a wipe the issue is your master multiplier or your TPA settings got reset to something different than what you had. 4.5 changed some of the defaults compared to older versions so if you just typed in the same PID numbers without accounting for that youre not actually running the same tune. check your D term specifically and also look at whether dynamic idle got turned on ? that alone can make a quad feel super sluggish if it wasnt on before and your throttle curve isnt compensating
