so ive been flying freestyle for maybe 8 months now and i can throw down basic stuff like split s, rolls, power loops but everything just feels kinda mushy and slow to respond. like when i snap a roll it doesnt feel snappy at all, theres this delay that makes it hard to link tricks together. running a 5inch with f7 stack, 2306 motors on 6s. rates feel fine honestly but the actual snap just isnt there. not sure if i need to go deeper into betaflight or if my rates are just too low or what

probably your p and d terms more than rates tbh. low D will make it feel floaty and not snap back properly after a roll. i had the exact same thing on my last build and bumping D on roll axis a bit cleaned it up a lot. also check your filtering ? if youve got too much filtering on it adds latency and makes everything feel like youre flying through mud. RPM filter should take care of most of the noise so you can back off the other stuff

are you on stock betaflight tune? cause that thing is tuned super conservative for like a 250g micro not a 6s 5inch lol. i just copied joshuas bardwells tune off youtube as a starting point and it was way better than anything i had dialed in myself. still tweaked from there but at least it gave me something to work with
