I've been flying in angle/stabilized modes for 8 months and feel comfortable with basic maneuvers, but I'm intimidated by switching to rate mode. Acro Mode ? also called Manual Mode or Rate Mode ? gives you full manual control of your FPV drone. Unlike self-leveling modes, Acro Mode does not automatically bring the drone back to level when you release the sticks. Instead, stick movement directly controls the rate of rotation for pitch, roll, and yaw.
I understand the theory but the learning curve seems steep. Acro is the most difficult flight mode to master and you can look forward to crashing multiple times. Should I transition gradually or just commit fully to rate mode? What's the most efficient path forward?
