yeah the DJI geofencing doesnt perfectly match FAA airspace, they use their own database which is usually pretty close but not always. the actual thing you should check is the B4UFLY app or just go to

2.5 miles from a runway at a regional airport youre almost certainly in class D or at minimum class E surface extension. id just do the LAANC through aloft (used to be kittyhawk i think) or whatever,
so theres a small regional airport about 4 miles from my house and ive been flying my mini 3 in a field thats probably 2.5 miles from the runway give or take. i honestly dont know if thats close enough to be a problem or not. the DJI app shows a yellow zone but not red and it doesnt actually stop me from flying, it just shows a warning. i looked up LAANC but i have no idea if i actually need to authorize through that or if the yellow just means be careful. ive been flying there for like 3 months and never had anyone say anything but that doesnt mean its fine i guess. does the color coding in the fly app actually match the actual FAA airspace classes or is DJI just doing their own thing
