Been trying to nail matty flips for weeks now but I keep overshooting and spinning out at the end. I can do clean power loops but something about the backward roll over an obstacle timing is throwing me off. Anyone have tips for the throttle control during the flip? Should I be cutting power earlier than I think?

Had the same issue! Reduce throttle as the drone flips, maintaining smooth control is key. Try practicing without obstacles first - just the backward flip motion in open air. The timing clicks once you feel the momentum change.

Check your D-gain too. D-gain reduces overshoot and dampens oscillations and mine was way too low for clean matty recoveries. Bumped it up 2 points and suddenly they locked in.

Honestly I gave up on mattys and just stick to power loops and split-s moves. Way more consistent and look just as good on camera. Not every trick is worth the crashes imo.
