Building my second quad and trying to figure out rates. My current setup feels sluggish for tricks but I've heard most racers prefer slower rates around 600 degrees per second for accuracy. What do you guys run for freestyle? Freestylers usually bump their rates up but how high is too high?

I run 750-800 deg/s for freestyle. Aggressive freestyle: 700?900 deg/s. For experienced pilots doing split-Ss and Juicy style anything higher feels too twitchy for flow.

Start conservative dude. Freestyle starter: Center 0.7, Expo 0.2, Max Rate 500 deg/s then work your way up. You can always increase but crashing from crazy rates sucks.

I'm running 900+ for freestyle and it's amazing once you get used to it. With faster rates, the drone could complete an entire backflip in a flash Makes juicy flicks so much snappier. Just be ready for the learning curve.
