so ive been using litchi for probably 3 years now and it does what i need but im starting to get annoyed by the fact that it feels kind of abandoned? like the last meaningful update was ages ago and there are bugs that have been sitting there forever. the waypoint sync with google earth still randomly breaks on my setup.

anyway someone in another thread mentioned dronelink and i looked into it a bit but the subscription model puts me off a little. i do mostly real estate stuff and some inspection work so i need reliable repeatable missions, curved paths would be nice but not essential. does anyone actually use dronelink day to day for that kind of work or is it more of a hobbyist thing? genuinely cant tell from the website.

running a mini 3 pro and an air 2s if that matters

switched from litchi to dronelink about 8 months ago and honestly dont regret it. the interface takes a bit to get used to especially if youre coming from litchi's map view but once it clicks its way more powerful. for inspection work the ability to set altitude relative to the subject rather than takeoff point is kind of a game changer when you're doing roof surveys on uneven terrain.

the subscription is like $10 a month or you can do annual which works out cheaper. for professional work its pretty easy to justify. mini 3 pro support is solid, havent had issues with it. the one thing litchi still does better imo is the desktop mission planner just feels snappier but dronelink's is fine.

i tried dronelink for a month and went back to litchi tbh. maybe im just too used to the workflow but it felt overcomplicated for what i do. if youre doing simple repeatable real estate shots litchi is probably still fine, just learn to work around the quirks. the google earth thing ? i had that too, turned out it was a chrome version issue on my laptop, updating fixed it weirdly enough
