so i just picked up a mini 4 pro last week, first drone ive ever owned and im kind of overwhelmed by all the accessories people talk about. ND filters, landing pads, extra batteries, cases, propeller guards... i dont even know where to start and i dont want to just throw money at stuff i wont use. budget isnt huge. what do most people actually use on a regular basis vs stuff thats more like a nice to have thing. also does the fly more combo make sense or is it better to just buy batteries separately when you need them

honestly for a beginner the only thing i would say is genuinely essential early on is extra batteries. one battery gives you like 30ish minutes and by the time youre set up and actually flying somewhere interesting its gone. everything else can wait. ND filters are great but you can figure out if you even care about that stuff after youve flown for a bit. the fly more combo is usually decent value if you look at what individual batteries cost separately, i think i saved like 40 bucks going that route but prices change.

propeller guards are kinda useless imo for outdoor flying, they add weight and actually make the thing handle worse, i took mine off after one flight. landing pad is nice if youre ever launching from grass or dirt, keeps debris out of the motors. a good case matters more than people think if youre carrying it around a lot, the stock packaging isnt great for travel. but yeah batteries first, nothing worse than running out after 20 minutes when you just drove somewhere cool
