first proper build going ok but not sure about my ESC wiring situation

so ive been lurking here for like 6 months watching builds and finally pulled the trigger on doing my own 5inch freestyle quad. got a diatone roma f5 frame which everyone seems to love and a set of xing2 2306 motors. stack is a mamba f7 with the 4in1 55amp ESC underneath it.

soldering has been going fine mostly, did all the motor leads no problem, but im second guessing myself on the battery lead. i tinned the pads on the ESC and the XT60 pigtail but when i went to join them it took forever to get the solder to flow properly and now the joint looks kind of lumpy. it's not a cold joint i dont think, it passed continuity and the solder did actually flow through but it just looks ugly. is that going to be a problem or is ugly but functional fine for a battery lead carrying that kind of current

also slightly unrelated but anyone run this specific frame with a gopro on top, wondering how much it affects the handling vs naked cam only

lumpy on a high current joint is worth redoing honestly. if the solder flowed and bonded properly it'll probably be fine electrically but on a battery lead you really dont want to find out mid flight. the issue is usually iron temp too low or not enough heat time on the pad before you feed solder in. those big copper pads on 4in1 ESCs soak up heat like crazy, i run my iron at 380-400c for anything battery side. get it reflowed clean and you'll sleep better.

the gopro question, yeah it changes the feel noticeably on a 5inch, more so than people expect. top mounting raises the center of gravity and it gets a bit floaty in the flips. some people like it actually but if you're going for snappy freestyle you might want a side mount or just use an insta360 smo which is way lighter.

im also on my first build so take this for what its worth but i had the same lumpy solder thing and someone told me i was using too much flux and not enough heat. switched to a better iron (was using a cheap amazon one before) and it made a huge difference. also the roma f5 is a sick frame choice, jealous
