Nazgul vs Tyrant 5 ? anyone actually run both back to back?

  • Members

trying to decide between the iFlight Nazgul Evoque F5 and the BetaFPV Pavo25 is NOT what im asking, i keep seeing those compared everywhere. what i actually want to know is how the Nazgul Evoque F5 stacks up against the Tyrant 5 V2 from AxisFlying because i dont see these two talked about together much.

my use case is mostly fast freestyle and occasional racing at a local club, not cinematic at all, dont care about GPS or any of that. running 6S. i already have the goggles and radio sorted so just the quad itself matters here.

the Nazgul has the better brand recognition obviously and i know iFlight's after sales support is decent. but the Tyrant has been getting some really good word of mouth lately and the frame geometry looks interesting to me. anyone have actual flight time on both rather than just spec sheet stuff? the motor specs are similar enough on paper that it probably comes down to build quality and tune.

also if theres a third option in that same price range im missing feel free to throw it in but please not the Geprc Mark 5, ive already ruled that one out for reasons.

ran the Evoque F5 for about 6 months before i crashed it into a lake lol. never flew the Tyrant so cant do a direct comparison but i can say the Evoque punches pretty hard for a prebuilt and the Xing2

i dont think you're going to find many people who've run both tbh, the Tyrant is still pretty new and doesnt have the same distribution so fewer people have actually gotten hands on one. from what ive

ran the Evoque F5 for about 6 months before i crashed it into a lake lol. never flew the Tyrant so cant do a direct comparison but i can say the Evoque punches pretty hard for a prebuilt and the Xing2 motors on mine held up really well. tune out of the box was actually one of the better ones ive flown from a prebuilt, still tweaked it but it wasnt starting from scratch. frame took a few crashes fine until the lake incident obviously.
