okay so context, ive been watching mr steele and various other guys do power loops forever and finally decided to just go for it at my usual spot which is this open field with a few trees on the edge. picked a tree, dove at it, pulled up way too late and basically did half a loop then panicked and disarmed about 2 feet from the ground. quad was fine somehow, grass is soft i guess. the thing nobody tells you is how fast it all happens, like in the videos it looks so controlled but when youre actually in it your brain just stops working for a second. gonna try again this weekend maybe with a slightly bigger tree so i have more room to commit

haha been there man. the commitment part is the whole trick, if you hesitate on the pull you're done. one thing that helped me learn power loops was doing them really high up first, like way higher than feels necessary, gives your brain time to process whats happening before the ground becomes a factor. once the muscle memory is there you can bring it lower. also disarming mid-maneuver is a hard habit to break once it starts, try to fight the urge even if you think youre gonna crash, sometimes the quad saves itself

i actually broke two sets of props learning power loops before i got one clean. dont stress it. also what props are you running, i found softer props made the entry feel less aggressive and easier to learn on, less torque fighting you when you hammer the throttle
