so i finally went to one of those community meetup things after lurking on here forever telling myself id go. honestly wasnt sure what to expect. showed up with my mini 3 and felt immediately self conscious because half the guys there had like full size 5 inch freestyle builds and fpv rigs i didnt even recognize. nobody was unfriendly or anything but there was definitely this vibe where everyone already knew each other and i was just kind of standing around. did get to see some insane proximity flying tho which made the drive worth it. think i'll go back but maybe try to actually talk to people next time instead of just watching the whole time

honestly that first one is always like that. i felt the same way at my first meetup, just kind of hovering near my car pretending to check my batteries. after the second or third time you start recognizing faces and it gets way more comfortable. most fpv guys are pretty happy to talk about their builds if you just ask them something about it
