EVO Nano+ vs Mini 3 Pro ? am i missing something or is the Autel actually better?

  • Members

ok so ive been going back and forth on this for like three weeks now and i cant make up my mind. i was pretty much set on the Mini 3 Pro because thats what everyone talks about but then i started looking at the EVO Nano+ and honestly the specs look better on paper? like the sensor is bigger and you dont need to register it in most places same as the Mini 3.

the thing that keeps bugging me is theres way less content online about the Autel. like if something goes wrong or i need to figure out a setting theres not nearly as many youtube videos or forum posts to dig through. that actually matters to me because im still pretty new to all this and i lean on that stuff a lot.

anyone here actually fly both or switched from one to the other? not looking for a spec sheet comparison i can google that, just want to know what its actually like to use day to day

had the Nano+ for about eight months before i picked up a Mini 3 and honestly both are solid but they feel pretty different in the hand and in the app. the Autel app has come a long way but it still feels a little rough around the edges compared to DJI Fly which is just super polished at this point. that said the Nano+ image quality genuinely surprised me, the colors out of the camera are really nice straight off the card, kind of warm and punchy without doing much in post.

your concern about the community size is totally valid though. when my Nano+ started doing this weird thing where it would lose connection for a second mid flight i had to really dig to find anyone who had the same issue. with DJI stuff you can usually find three reddit threads and a video about whatever problem you have within five minutes. thats not nothing, especially early on.

i just got the nano+ like two months ago as my first drone and i really like it tbh. setup was pretty straightforward and i havent had any major issues. the obstacle avoidance is only on the front and back which i didnt fully realize before i bought it so just heads up on that if you fly in tighter spaces
