so ive had my mini 4 pro for about 3 weeks now and whenever i fly it inside my living room just to practice hovering it slowly drifts to the left no matter what i do. i calibrated the IMU and the compass but it still does it. outside it seems fine mostly but i cant always tell because theres usually some wind. is this a sensor thing or is indoor flying just always gonna be like this with these drones? i feel like i saw something about optical flow sensors but not sure if that even applies here

yeah indoor flying with the mini 4 pro is kinda hit or miss honestly. the downward vision sensors help but they really struggle on surfaces that dont have much texture ? like plain carpet or a wood floor thats all one color. if your floor is pretty uniform it basically cant lock on and drifts. try hovering over something with more pattern to it, like a rug with a design, and see if that changes anything. also make sure youre not near anything that messes with the compass, like a big TV or speakers, those can throw it off even after calibration.

same thing happened to me when i first got mine and i panicked thinking it was defective lol. indoors is just rough for these things, the gps cant do anything inside so it falls back on the vision positioning and that only works so well. i mostly just accepted that indoor hovering is gonna need small corrections. if youre practicing stick control thats actually not the worst thing
