so i've been flying for about a year and a half now and i always felt like my videos looked kinda flat and boring compared to what i see other people posting. took the mini 3 out to the lake near my parents place on saturday morning, got up around 6am cause i knew the light would be good and honestly it was worth it. the mist was sitting right on the water and i just did slow pulls and a few orbit shots around this old dock.

not sure if i should post the youtube link here or if thats against the rules, but if anyone wants to take a look and tell me whats working and whats not id really appreciate it. specifically wondering if my color grade is too heavy, i've been using a pretty aggressive s-log to rec709 lut and sometimes i think it looks oversaturated on other peoples screens

post the link man, people do it all the time here. really curious to see the mist shots cause that early morning lake stuff can look incredible if the timing is right. the oversaturation thing is so real btw, i spent like three months thinking my edits looked cinematic and then saw them on my friends monitor and they looked insane lol. try checking your footage on a couple different screens before you finalize anything

yeah drop the link. also on the lut thing, if youre shooting dneg or d-log just be careful how hard youre pushing the saturation in post. i usually pull it back like 10-15% after applying the lut cause it stacks weird sometimes depending on the footage. could also just be a monitor calibration issue on your end tbh
