so ive been dealing with this for like three weeks now and its driving me insane. running a Zenmuse X7 on my M600 and every time i do a fresh gimbal calibration it seems fine on the ground but once i get maybe 10-15 minutes into a flight the horizon starts creeping. not a lot, maybe 2-3 degrees but on the footage its really obvious especially when im doing slow lateral moves for real estate stuff.

ive checked the mounting plate, re-seated the ribbon cable, done the calibration probably a dozen times. doesnt seem to matter if im in smooth or FPV mode either. wind was like 4-5mph yesterday when i noticed it again so its not a crazy turbulence thing. the IMU on the aircraft itself seems fine, its specifically the gimbal roll axis that drifts. anyone seen this before or know if theres a firmware thing im missing

had something similar on my X5S a while back. turned out the gimbal dampeners were worn out ? those little rubber balls that isolate the gimbal from the frame vibration. when they get old they dont absorb correctly and the gimbal motors are basically fighting micro-vibrations the whole flight instead of just stabilizing for larger movement. over time they heat up or just fatigue and the roll axis is usually the first to show it. worth pulling the dampener mount and checking if any of them look deformed or harder than the others.

also are you doing the calibration on a completely level surface? like actually level with a bubble level, not just eyeballing it on your car hood or whatever. the X7 is pretty sensitive to that.

not sure if this is related but i had drift issues and it ended up being interference from one of my other accessories ? had a monitor mounted kind of close and apparently it was messing with something. probably not your issue but just throwing it out there. the dampener thing the other guy mentioned sounds more likely tbh
