what case is everyone using for mini 3 pro travel

so ive been using the stock dji shoulder bag thing that came with the fly more combo and honestly its starting to fall apart, the zipper on the main compartment is already getting sketchy and i only got this thing like 8 months ago. planning a trip in a few weeks and i dont want to chance it with checked luggage.

been looking at the hard cases, pelican obviously comes up everywhere but they're so expensive. seen some cheaper options on amazon with the foam cutouts but i have no idea if theyre actually protective or just look the part. also trying to figure out if i should get one that fits everything (controller, batteries, nd filters, the whole setup) or just a small case for the drone itself and pack the accessories separate.

anyone travel a lot with theirs and have something they actually trust?

I went through this same thing last year. Ended up getting a Nanuk 925 and honestly havent looked back. Its not as pricey as Pelican and the latches feel really solid. I did have to cut the foam myself which took like an hour but you can find templates online for the mini 3 specifically which helps a lot. Everything fits in there ? drone, fly more batteries, controller with the screen, my filters, even a small cleaning kit. Checked it on three flights now with no issues.

The amazon cases honestly worry me a bit, not saying they're all bad but the foam on the cheaper ones tends to be pretty soft and doesnt hold shape after a while. For a drone that expensive id just spend the extra money once and be done with it.

i just use a lowepro backpack, not a hard case. fits everything and i can carry it on the plane no problem. never had an issue but i also dont check it ever so maybe not helpful if youre checking bags lol
